However, you should think again. HD Cine film scanning equipment is not something you can buy at Maplin, it is very expensive so most local shops simply don't get enough orders to buy this sort of technology so they are most likely sending it on to a central company like us anyway, then adding their own markup. Why pay twice? Send direct to us by secure next day special delivery from any UK post office. Also some local shops do very amateur transfers with a camcorder and projector, so you wont get the best quality (see our examples section) many shops only do 8mm and 16mm film as a side line, that's why they often charge a "set up fee" We don't have to set up fees, we do film transfers every day in our digital studios with equipment that can scan safely directly from your films surface with low heat LED backlighting with direct film scanning in full colour HD. You always get extra DVD copies free, and a DVD-ROM for you to archive or edit your films at home. We are a high street shop, not just a website! This is very importantly, as you probably know the internet is full of websites offering goods and services. Most of these sites are from genuine companies, however some web sites are misleading, some unreliable and some just plain fake. We are not just a virtual website but a UK based 'bricks and mortar' shop too!
